Notes:
- John Soeder: "When drummer Bud Gaugh of the Long Beach Dub Allstars looks at the crowd at any given stop on the Vans Warped tour, he sees a rainbow coalition of sorts. 'You got kids with blue hair, kids with pink hair, kids with dreadlocks, skinheads in suspenders, straight-edge kids and heavy-metal kids. ... It's America, the big melting pot,' says Gaugh. Now in its sixth year, the Warped tour stops today at Nautica Stage in Cleveland's Flats. Among the 32 bands on the punk-oriented bill are Green Day, the Mighty Mighty Bosstones and NOFX. ... Most Warped bands play some form of punk, although they come at it from different angles. Green Day packs plenty of pop appeal into its loud, fast ditties."
- "Green Day played at 6:00. They were awesome! Billie Joe was his usual talkative and silly self. He was wearing his same black shirt and red tie, Mike was wearing an AC/DC shirt, and Tre was wearing a Warning shirt. They started out with Welcome To Paradise. For Knowledge, Billie pulled out a 17-year-old girl from Kentucky. She wasn't that great but she might have been nervous, I would have been! They messed up the end of Disappearing Boy but Billie just laughed because they hadn't practiced that in a while. They played Disappearing Boy and Going To Pasalacqua at the request of the crowd. Before Going To Pasalacqua was over, Billie stopped the song to make the crowd help an injured mosher. This was the second time he did that. After the last song, Mike trashed his bass and Tre trashed his drums and attempted to start a fire with them. Then they left just as quickly as they came in (10 minutes later than they were supposed to). Definitely an awesome show."
- "Me and my friend got to Nautica around 1:00, and some retards told us Green Day's bus wasn't coming until 3:30. So, we waited and waited and waited... After meeting Green Day the last two times I saw them play, I had very high expectations for this show. At 4:00 we found out that Green Day's bus had been there the whole time! I was very mad, to say the least. So we snuck under some semi trucks, and were in with all the buses. Only one problem... Which bus was theirs? After talking to a lot of people, and getting yelled at numerous times by idiots because we didn't have passes to be here, a nice guy told us that Green Day were signing autographs! My friend and I ran over to where they were, and got in a long line. The security guy cut the line off right behind us, so we were the last ones that would get to meet them. Too bad nothing works out like it's supposed to. When there was about five people left in front of us, Green Day jumped out from the table and started signing autographs for the people who got cut off. Tre poured water all over my head, and then I got a pic of us, Mike and Billie (my friend always takes the pics). But I didn't get to talk to Billie AT ALL, I was so upset. A little more waiting, and it was time to go to the stage they were playing at. They played Welcome To Paradise, Longview, Hitchin' A Ride, Geek Stink Breath, When I Come Around, a little Ozzy, a little Sweet Home Alabama and a lot more that I don't remember. But the best was Disappearing Boy. Billie had to ask Tre if he remembered how to play it! During a couple of the songs Billie just stopped because people were getting hurt. It was so awesome. And they brought some girl up to play the guitar for the Op Ivy song, Knowledge. At the end Billie asked where she was from and she said Kentucky. Everyone started booing her, and Billie and Mike were like, 'That's Kentucky, Ohio. You know where it is, that little suburb outside of Cleveland.' It was so funny! After that I figured I wasn't going to meet him this time. But we finally figured out where their bus was! First we saw Tre, he took his dirty smelly beer-covered Warning shirt off, and threw it to my friend. She of course gave it to me, so I have Tre's shirt, I can't stop smelling it, I LOVE IT! Mike came out and was sweeter than sweet, as always. I got 3 picks from him, and he signed my picture. He had this awesome skateboard with his name on it. It was cool. I had to leave at 8:00, but Billie still hadn't come out. Actually, he did, but only for a second. I decided at 8:15, I was leaving no matter what, I couldn't stay any longer. I would wait forever for Billie, but I just couldn't. And at 8:15, guess who came out! Finally, after everything I had gone through, there he was. I shook his hand and he signed my picture. I asked him for a pick. It was so cute, he said he didn't have any with him, but there are some left the bus, and he'd bring me one later. I explained I had to go, but I'd see him the 18th and 19th. I can't stand how fucking awesome he is!"
