- Matt Webber: "After a 2-hour drive from Brandon to Winnipeg and a half an hour wait in line, I was finally inside the Winnipeg Stadium - at EDGEfest '98! Taking sunscreen turned out to be wise, as bodies got redder, and redder as the day wore on. Green Day kicked ass! This was my first time seeing the trio live! Wow, what a performance. Billie Joe in the devil mask singing The Beautiful People, not to mention his underwear antics during King For A Day, and then the whole bringing-the-kid-up-on-stage-to-play-guitar thing. And of course, billie joe's comments about the state of Alternative Rock & his electric guitar version of Time of Your Life! I could go on and on. ..."
