Notes:
  • "Green Day is without a doubt a kickass band. It just so happened this was my first concert I've ever gone to. It ruled. When we got to the Central Maine Civic Center was packed with screeming fans. At 9:00, out came Green Day! They started off With Nice Guys Finish Last, and worked their way through with a mix of songs on Nimrod, Dookie, and Insomniac. Then as a finish, Tre threw his drums around and then Bille played an awesome distorted version of Good Riddance. We were quiet for that song. I'm telling you, this concert kicked ass. Green Day left me with an adrenaline rush for weeks."
  • Rob Riccitelli: "On this day in 1998, Green Day played what was then the Central Maine Civic Center (now Colisee) in Lewiston. I had always heard stories about that infamous afternoon they stopped by the radio station. I recently caught up with a few people that were there that day including former morning guy here at CYY, Wildman Zach. He recalls a Cheese Doodle war in our conference room between the band, contest winners and staff. As you can see here, Tre Cool decided to walk on our table. It was the Nimrod tour. Reprise Records Rep and good friend of CYY, Andrew Govatsos, was there and he had brought a stack of Nimrod stickers with him. The band took most of them and slapped them on the walls all through the station and the building here at One City Center."
