- That fuckin' ROCKS: "Early Green Day is the only Green Day to me. I fell off after Dookie, on the fence with Insomniac and they lost me after that. Saw them at SUNY Albany ... the whole venue was moshing, crazy. One of my first punk rock experiences. -M.K."
- vilewaffle: "I saw Green Day in November 1995. They played at State University of New York and it was a little small but really cool. They started with the first 3 songs of Insomniac. I do remember them playing Knowledge and Tre singing his songs. We tried to sneak onto the floor but the security guard made us go back to our seats. Right in the middle of one of the songs some guy threw a water bottle at the band and it hit Billie in the head and he said, 'Thanks a lot, asshole.' After they finished that song Billie split the crowd in half and one side said 'shut the' and the other side said 'fuck up'. Sadly, we didn't get to meet the band because they left right after they finished the show. We went to the floor though to look for some extra tickets and other goodies. A roadie came out with a pile of shoes asking, 'Whose are these?'"
