[newsImage]110809_gimmesomethingbetter.jpg[/newsImage]A new book titled "Gimme Something Better" was released earlier this year which chronicles over two-decades of music coming from the Bay Area punk scene. They talk about Gilman Street where Green Day got their start, as well as many aspects about the scene, "music, progressive politics, divine decadence and smart ass wit of Bay Area punk."
The authors of the book interviewed Billie Joe, along with members of other bands like the Dead Kennedy's, Avengers, NOFX, and Rancid.
Delfina, from Nothing Wrong With Me put up some quotes from the book.
The book is available from Amazon from under $13, and you can read excerpts on their site, Gimme Something Better.com
