Green Day played the Comerica Park in Detroit, MI last night, 4 September 2024. The show was paused during Longview when stadium staff ordered the band offstage and whisked them away in golf carts. They returned about 10 minutes later. Billie Joe asked, "How you guys doing? Everybody OK?" The band then resumed where they left off and played a full set. It was the usual Saviors Tour setlist:

Before playing Good Riddance, Billie remarked that it was "a night we're all going to remember!"

Green Day's official statement: "Detroit! Sorry for the delay in the show tonight, Stadium security had us clear the stage while they dealt with a potential safety issue. DPD quickly resolved the situation, and we were able to continue. Thanks for understanding.💚#greendayDetroit"

Detroit Police told the Detroit Free Press, "There was an individual that flew a drone into Comerica Park, and because of that, Green Day was taken off the stage. DPD did locate the individual. He is being detained pending further investigation."

In a review, Brian McCollum of the Detroit Free Press wrote that "following the break, the band seemed even more energized, perhaps driven by a sense of annoyed defiance" and "you could literally feel the stadium bouncing as the audience pogoed along to Know Your Enemy."
