Is there a new American Idiot documentary in the works? Seems like it according to a new interview with Green Day.

Before they headline EA Sports Super Bowl Party, the boys did a short interview with Good Morning Britain where they talked about the upcoming tour, the big game, and big album anniversaries. When talking about the 20th anniversary of American Idiot, Billie Joe revealed that they finished watching a new documentary about the album they planned to put out, which Billie called "fun to watch." No other details were revealed. Check out the interview below.



This won't be the first American Idiot documentary. Back in 2015, the band released Heart Like A Hand Grenade. Directed by John Roecker, the film captures the songwriting and recording process of the iconic album. So what will the new documentary feature? We'll have to wait to find out.

Meanwhile, Green Day played a 15-song set at the EA Sports Super Bowl Party. While pro-shot footage hasn't been released, you can check out fan-captured footage below.
