Billie Joe Armstrong rides shotgun with rapper Tyla Yaweh in his new music video "High Right Now." Billie chauffeurs around the rapper as he enjoys a smoke. Post Malone and Wiz Khalifa also make appearances in the video.
Not only does Billie appear in the video, Yaweh also sample's Green Day's "Boulevard of Broken Dreams." The sample appears in Kalifa's verse. To the tune of "Boulevard of Broken Dreams," he sings "I board a private plane, that's the only flight I've ever known/I roll up to the face, sometimes I don't share, I smoke alone."
When talking about the sample, Yaweh told Fader "When you hear Wiz used a sample from Green Day we were wondering how the hell we were going to clear it. But then, I’m on tour with Post Malone and end up seeing Billie Joe Armstrong backstage. I played him the record and he loved it and said he was gonna clear it!! We needed up become good friends from there and we all ended up making this iconic stoned circle shot happen!”
Yaweh teased Billie's appearance in the video by sharing photos of the two from the shoot on Instagram in the weeks leading up to the video.
