Green Day will release their first book, Last of the American Girls, this fall. Co-authored by the band and featuring illustrations by Frank Caruso, the full color-text comes out October 29th via Dey Street Books.

Named after the 21st Century Breakdown song of the same name, the book is “an inspiring homage and handbook for the rebellious everywoman who refuses to capitulate,” according to a statement from their publisher. The book is described as a celebration of “true rebel girls.” Check out the cover art below.

So far, we don’t have any more details about the book, but according to the Amazon product page, the book features illustrations that match the song's lyrics. It sounds similar to Caruso's previous collaboration with Bruce Springsteen. The two worked together on Springsteen's Outlaw Pete, which featured graphics to go along with the song's lyrics. You can pre-order a copy on Amazon here.
