A newly-formed band called "The Coverups" played their debut show last night in Albany, California to a small crowd. The Coverups features many Green Day members including Billie Joe on vocals and guitar, Mike Dirnt on guitar and vocals, and Jason White on guitar and vocals. Also in the band on bass is long-time Green Day tech and manager Bill Schneider. Finally, on drums is Green Day's audio engineer Chris Dugan.

The band ripped through over a dozen covers of popular songs from the mid-to-late 1900s such as "Dancing With Myself", "I Fought the Law", "Ziggy Stardust", and many more.
