Green Day today has announced that they will be taking their Revolution Radio Tour to South America later this year. The tour consists of nine dates across the continent, including stops in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, and more. The Interrupters will continue to be the opening act as they have done throughout the band's current US and European tours.
Just last month Billie Joe spilled the beans about the South America tour but today the band has made it official.
Check out the nine dates below, including the previously announced show in Mexico City.
11/1 - Arena Rio - Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
11/3 - Anhembi Arena - Sao Paulo, Brazil
11/5 - Pedreira Paulo Laminsky - Curitiba, Brazil
11/7 - Beira Rio Stadium - Porto Alegre, Brazil
11/10 - Velez Stadium - Buenos Aires, Argentina
11/12 - Estadio Bicentenario de la Florida - Santiago, Chile
11/15 - Estadio Nacional - Lima, Peru
11/17 - Simon Boliva Park - Bogota, Colombia
11/19 - Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez - Mexico City, Mexico
Ticket information is unconfirmed at this point but based on some details we've seen leaked prior to today's announcement, a general ticket sale will begin in early July. There will likely be an Idiot Nation presale coming soon. We'll be sure to update this post with those details.
