Recently, it was revealed that Turn It Around: The Story of East Bay Punk would be released this summer. It's now been announced that the documentary, which has been executive produced by Green Day, will have its world premiere on May 31st.
The film is set to kick off the 16th San Francisco Documentary Film Festival, with the screening scheduled for 7pm on the opening night of the festival. Director Corbett Redford will be present at the screening, along with some other guests. After the screening, the festival is putting on a 'Gilman-style' live music event at DNA Lounge in San Francisco, with bands including The Pathogens, The Love Songs and Kamala performing.
Tickets for the screening, which include entry to the after party, are available here.
The national run of the documentary will start a few days after the screening, with a week-long run in San Francisco from June 2nd.
