Green Day interview at KROQ Almost Acoustic
Dec. 12, 2016 / Comments
Before Green Day's appearance at the KROQ Almost Acoustic the band was interviewed by KROQ. They talk about the upcoming documentary about the Easy Bay scene they grew up in.
They also talked about the cassette boombox box special, which apparently was Tre's idea. "I like cassettes because they don't skip when I drive erratically, or erotically."

It's about the Gilman St. scene in the late [80s] and early 90's. How suburban and ragtag kids got together, their bands, and played in back yards and played at Gliman street. It's really good. My friend Corbett Redford is the director of it and he did an amazing job. It's not a Green Day documentary. It's a documentary about the scene we come from. But in turn, you're going to know more about Green Day from watching other people's stories about their own lives. These are the people who were around us. It's beautiful.
