What drew me to bass in the first place is my ability to play very good mediocre guitar. [...] My first Fender bass was one that was actually purchased for me by Billie Joe. He bought me a 69 P burst. I love it to this day. It was a great bass and it got me hooked.

The hardest part of being in Green Day and being the artist who I am today is trying to contend with Green Day every release we have. But it's also the most gratifying when you put your head down and you get to work and you make it happen.
