October Interview Round-Up: Mike
By Jack /Oct. 30, 2016 / Comments
Mike Dirnt didn't have quite as many interviews and appearances as Billie Joe this month. After all, he didn't have an album and a movie to promote! He still got out and around to spread the good word about Revolution Radio.
- First, he appeared in LA Weekly to discuss Fender Guitars' relocation to Hollywood and his own history with the brand. The article mentions that Mike donated quite a few of his signature instruments to the Los Angeles Unified School district. Good on you, Mike!
- Next is a short clip of Mike talking to Lou Brutus of hardDriveRadio about exactly when the band knew they needed to start recording again.
- Mike also sat down in person with Brazilian music publication 'Tenho Mais Discos Que Amigos!' (the interview is spoken in English!) for a 15-minute chat. He talks a lot about Revolution Radio and some of its individual tracks. Mike also reveals who he's voting for — more specifically, who he's voting against — in the upcoming U.S. presidential election!
- Finally, Mike was featured in a new issue of Bass Player magazine. He's pictured below on the cover with the Gibson G-3 bass that he played on Dookie and Insomniac.
