Green Day is featured in the newest issue of Kerrang! Magazine, which came out today. The magazine flew out to California to interview the band about a variety of topics such as "Bang Bang," Revolution Radio, their mood and outlook, and so much more.

The feature article details a few songs from the album. They've described "Somewhere Now" as "energetic" and "middle-finger of [an] opener," which includes the line "I put the riot in patriot." They also describe "Outlaws" as "dreamy nostalgia" and "Youngblood" as "jubilant and vicious" with the standout line of "Fuck you, I'm from Oakland."

Where its predecessors sprawled and yawned, Revolution Radio is a trim, action-packed 45 minutes in which the Oakland reprobates get their eye back on the ball and deliver their best, most focused and most Green Day-ish performance since American Idiot. This is the world's biggest punk band reminding everyone just how they got there in the first place. This is Green Day back on form. This is Green Day rejuvenated.

At the end of the article, Green Day included a message to their fans, thanking them for their patience while the band "took some time for ourselves."

Kerrang! is already teasing another Green Day feature for their next issue, dubbing it as "part two" of their exclusive interview with the band. The article is supposed to be more focused on detailing the tracks from Revolution Radio.

Head out and pick up a copy of the issue at your local reseller, or download the issue on the Kerrang app on your iOS or Android device.
