Green Day music to be featured in new Guitar Hero game

Later this year will mark the return of the extremely popular music video game franchises Rock Band and Guitar Hero. Harmonix announced Rock Band's return last month, and just today, Activision has announced Guitar Hero's return.
According to the Guitar Hero website, at least one Green Day song is pegged to be included in the new Guitar Hero game, Guitar Hero Live. Activision doesn't dive too much into the game's catalog but if Green Day is being mentioned early in the game's development, I think it's safe to assume there will be a nice collection of the band's songs.
Green Day's music is no stranger to music video games. Green Day had an entire Rock Band release, Green Day: Rock Band, dedicated to their catalog. The game included the entire Dookie, American Idiot, and 21st Century Breakdown albums along with various tracks from their other albums (excluding 39/Smooth and Kerplunk). A few Green Day tracks have also been released on Rocksmith.
Other than a few hardware and game-play details, as well as a reveal trailer, there isn't much to know about the game at this point. Activision says that more details about the game will be released at E3 in June.
