Green Day will be introduced by the band Fall Out Boy. This is likely due to not only the band's current relevancy, but the fact that Green Day is certainly a strong influence on the band.
Other presenters include Paul McCartney (for Ringo Starr), Stevie Wonder (for Bill Withers), Patti Smith (for Lou Reed), John Mayer (for Stevie Ray Vaughn), Steve Copper (for the "5" Royales) and Peter Wolf (for Paul Butterfield Blues Band).
The Hall of Fame also revealed that Beck, Dave Grohl, Joe Walsh, Tom Morello, John Legend, and Jimmie Vaughan will perform at the event.
Green Day were in a similar position to Fall Out Boy back in 2012 when they introduced and inducted Guns N' Roses into the Hall.
The full list of presenters and performers can be seen here over on Rolling Stone.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony takes places April 18th in Cleveland, Ohio.
