As we announced Tuesday, Green Day's 2001 live EP Tune In Tokyo will be released on blue vinyl for Black Friday Record Store Day on November 28th. On Wednesday, Planet Stereo, an online music blog, has un-earthed more details on the release, stating that the EP will be pressed on clear-blue vinyl and will be limited to just 5,000 copies.

As we reported Tuesday, Wax Poetic is stating the vinyl will come with a digital download option. We aren't yet sure whether the digital download will be available separately from the vinyl purchase, such as an iTunes/Google Play/Spotify release.

On Black Friday, a smaller-scale Record Store Day is celebrated across the US and Canada with local record stores receiving stock of limited and exclusive vinyl releases, much like April's Record Store Day. Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving in the US, which puts the day on November 28th this year.

Tune In, Tokyo is a live EP released in October of 2001, available for sale only in Japan. The EP contains seven tracks, six of which are from Warning. The original CD copy of the album can be purchased as an import via Amazon by clicking here.

There hasn't been any official word yet from the band but I'm sure something will be announced sooner than later as the release date is quickly approaching.
