To go along with their placement on the cover, 5 Seconds to Summer has been interviewed by Alt Press who wanted to know the band's favorite pop-punk songs.
Members of the band mentioned two Green Day songs: "21st Century Breakdown" and "Jesus of Suburbia."
The band also mentions a couple songs from Blink-182, All Time Low, among other pop-punk bands.
During 5SOS's promotional schedule for their newly released album, they have been very vocal about their Green Day influence and attribute a majority of their musical style, both recorded and live, to Green Day.

Ashton Irwin: “I'm more a fan of Green Day’s live recordings. They're so amazing; I love that Billie can command a stadium. He and Dave Grohl have that power. I look at that and get really inspired. That's the way we perform, a lot of yelling and shit. We want to get a toilet paper gun for the next tour.”
Calum Hood: “I think that’s ("Jesus of Suburbia") one of the craziest songs that’s ever been written. At some point, you think you’d be like, ‘Okay, that’s enough,’ but the whole nine minutes is just so good. I love it.”
