Phil Everly, half of the Everly Brothers duo, died yesterday at the age of 74. Billie Joe posted on Twitter and Instagram about his death.

Phil was quoted in this New York Times article back in November about Billie Joe and Norah Jones "Foreverly" release saying,
[quote] “They did a very good job, and they blend very well.” And he noted that “Foreverly” was as unexpected as “Songs Our Daddy Taught Us” had been.
“The formula today is to just keep doing what you’ve been doing,” he said. “I have to respect them for not doing that.”[/quote]
