I was lucky enough to snag a ticket to the event and will be there representing GDA. If you see a tall kid wearing maroon pants be sure to come up and say hi.
According to the Broadway Idiot Twitter account, the producers of the film are currently working on an actual DVD release, along with an opening ceremony with Green Day.
Broadway Idiot combines the story of Billie Joe's journey from the world of punk rock to the Broadway stage with the actual making of the American Idiot musical. It follows the musical's progression from very early stages of development, the run at Berkeley Repertory Theater, the Broadway opening, through to Billie Joe's Broadway debut in in the show in the role of St. Jimmy.
