In this weeks [turl=http://www.greendayauthority.com/news/tags/throwback-thursday/]#ThrowbackThursday[/turl] we'll be throwing you back a little further than we have been for the past few weeks to 1996 when Green Day performed on Saturday Night Special.

On the show Green Day played "Walking Contradiction" off Insomniac and "Going To Pasalacqua" from 39/Smooth. Possibly my favorite part of this whole video is when the host says, "what kind of day would you like? Work day or Green Day?" At the end of the video Green Day also does a little bit of "stage destruction" to leave their mark.
