[pic=Green Day's very first released EP, 1,000 Hours]101712_greenday-1000hours_large.jpg[/pic]Even though it's not "#ThrowbackThursday" yet, we're going back to 1989-1990 to look at Green Day's first four releases. This includes the EPs: 1,000 Hours, Slappy, and Sweet Children, and the first studio album (technically): 39/Smooth. Material from all four of these releases was later released as 1,039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours.

Everyone thinks it's cool to have the first thing your favorite band ever released. That's why we've scoured eBay for you, and found a few listings for these original vinyl releases. Some of them can get pretty price-y, depending on the pressing of the particular vinyl. If you've got some cash to spare, this is no doubt a cool way to connect with (I can't believe I'm including this phrase, but here goes nothin') "old Green Day." Note: These may not all be the very first pressings, but they are all early and original. Check out these listings!:
