For this week's installment of [turl=http://www.greendayauthority.com/news/tags/throwback-thursday/]#ThrowbackThursday[/turl] we are brining you back to 1993 to the notorious Bookmobile interview.
This interview conducted in 1993 was just after Green Day signed with Warner Brothers Records. Mike describes their new album Dookie as, "an album with songs made for everyone except for parents." Billie Joe chipped in to say "we still use the same three chords we always have."
What I think most people find most interesting about this interview is when the interviewer asks if the band has any releases on independent labels. Tre responds to the question by saying, "Well we have a rock opera" and then Mike chips in and says "Yeah we call it Jimmy."
