[caption=Billie playing in Japan in 2010]081112_billiejapan1.jpg[/caption]Last night, a new tour date was added to the tour section on GreenDay.com, confirming that the band will be playing at Shibuya-ax in Tokyo, Japan on August 16th.

Over the last couple weeks, we had been hearing whispers of this show happening due to some tweets from @GreenDayJapan, but we were only able to confirm the show last night. According to the Shibuy-ax's website it looks like the show is already sold out.

This will be the kick off show before Green Day begins playing festivals in Japan, France, Germany, and Italy.
