[img=041612_mikesfirsttweet.jpg]After a long silence, actually almost exactly one year, Mike Dirnt has finally sent out his first tweet on his account @DirntOfficial, and in it he shows his excitement about the upcoming trilogy of albums.

Ok, so this isn't major breaking news like we had yesterday, but still very damn exciting for the people who hope to hear more from the members of Green Day.

The account was confirmed as a legitimate account last year when it was made, and it was also posted on the official website for a while - though Mike never used it. Yes, there are some other accounts out there claiming to be Mike - those aren't really him.
