[newsImage]031510_outMag.jpg[/newsImage]Out.com posted the article about Billie Joe that's featured in the April 2010 issue of Out magazine. It's a very good read that focuses partly on the musical, with interviews with both Billie Joe and director Michael Mayer - and also talks about Green Day's role and influences from the LGBT scene growing up.
"There were a lot of people who didn't accept it, who were homophobic." (Fans still fill message board threads with fights about just how gay Armstrong actually is.) "The fact that it's an issue is kind of phobic within itself. At some point, you gotta think, this should be something that's just accepted."

After almost 16 years of monogamous marriage to the same woman -- a minor rock 'n' roll miracle itself -- he says he's not sure if he'd still call himself bisexual. "But I'd never say that I'm not," he quickly adds. "I don't really classify myself as anything. And when it comes to sex, there are parts of me that are very shy and conservative. I want to respect my wife."
The whole piece is very well written, and it's nice to see an interview with something different that the same stuff we see over and over. So, visit Out.com and read it.

The magazine will be hitting newsstands very soon, it might already be out in your area. Pick up a copy if you can.

There's also a handful of new photos from a photoshoot with Billie Joe, which you can check out here.
