21st Century Breakdown goes Gold, Aussie's line up

It was made official today that 21st Century Breakdown has been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America. 21CB now becomes the 9th Green Day album to be certified gold, meaning it's sold over 500,000 copies in the US. Not too surprising considering the album sold over 200,000 copies in it's first 3 days of sales. But, a wonderful milestone none-the-less.
Over in Australia, to help combat ticket scalpers, the ticket company (Ticketek) required fans to line up at the venue box office to get the best tickets. There was a 2 ticket per person limit, over 50 people were lined up with sleeping bags at 2am waiting to get one (or two) of the limited 300 tickets that went on sale at 9am this morning. I applaud their dedication, I'm sure it will all be worth it in December when Green Day takes the 21CB tour down to Australia. Full story from the Daily Telegraph.
