Green Day's first major album was released 15 years ago today. Dookie was the album that brought this band to the attention of the world. It helped Green Day connect with a generation like few had done before, and 15 years later it remains their best selling album with 10+ million copies sold world-wide. I actually can't find the official number of how many it's sold worldwide, only that it was certified in 1999 as selling over 10 million (and I don't know if that was US only).
