Billie Joe responds to the "Wake Me Up When September Ends" annual jokes

Vulture got together with Billie and he responds to the yearly "Wake Me Up When September Ends" joke by associating himself to the end of September as people would with the Easter bunny or Jesus to their respective holidays.

It's like when Jesus was born on December 25th people go hey it's Christmas time. When the easter bunny comes it's like hey it's Easter or when September comes then people go hey it's that guy in Green Day"

They even come up with a new song idea! Check out the video below.
