The cast of the American Idiot Musical held a press conference/soundcheck last night, and tonight will be the first preview performance of the new Broadway show.

Last night, director Michael Mayer spoke, followed by Billie Joe, Mike and Tre. Someone uploaded a video of their short speeches, followed by all 3 of them spooning in bed on stage.

J'net wrote in to tell us about the press conference/sound check last night, and mentioned the following:
[quote]The cast posed with Mayer and Green Day for the press photographers and fans. After the event finished, fans who waited saw the band walk out and head to Sardi's (a few doors down from the theater) for lunch. They were all relaxed and graciously interacting with fans as they were hurried along to the restaurant. Several GDC members got autographs and photos.

The first preview performance takes place tonight, and the GDC will be strongly represented throughout the crowd. [/quote]
