American Idiot Cast Album tops charts

The Original Broadway Cast Recording of Green Day's musical American Idiot has entered the Billboard Top Cast Albums chart at number 1 and the Billboard 200 at number 43.

This sets the highest rank on the charts for a cast recording since "Disney's the Little Mermaid" came in on the Billboard 200 at number 26 in March 2008.
