The Green Day promotional wheels are turning again!
Three years ago, Green Day was supposed to headline an outdoor concert in Toronto for the 2016 World Cup of Hockey but had to cancel last minute due to illness. As it turns out, the band kept in touch with the NHL (National Hockey League) and have now signed a massive, two-year marketing and promotional partnership with the league.
The debut appearance of Green Day’s brand-new song, “Fire, Ready, Aim,” from their forthcoming album, Father of All Motherfuckers album, will air before the New Jersey Devils vs. Philadelphia Flyers game on Oct. 9. The song will serve as the opening theme song for NBCSN’s Wednesday Night Hockey program.
The band will also be the headline artist at the 2020 NHL All-Star Game festivities in St. Louis, which will take place on Jan. 26, 2020.
