Billie Joe and Adrienne Armstrong posted in support of #GivingTuesday, a national day of charity following Thanksgiving. They posted in support of two charities they've been involved with for many years, Project Chimps, and the NRDC.
Project Chimps is a chimpanzee sanctuary in the United States and was founded to provide lifetime care to more than 200 former research chimpanzees. Billie Joe and Adrienne have been involved with the charity for several years by helping financially, bringing awareness to the sanctuary, and donating their time to help at the sanctuary itself. You can donate at ProjectChimps.org
The NRDC (Natural Resources Defense Council) is a non-profit environmental advocacy group which promotes research on the impact of climate change and other environmental issues. Green Day teamed up with them back in 2006 to highlight the US's dependency on oil. You can donate at https://on.nrdc.org/Donate
