VMA's, Mike bass on Smoking Gun EP, Live Freaky Die Freaky

Over 500,000 votes were submitted yesterday for the MTV VMA's for Green Day, as well as countless others that people didn't report to GDA. Thats amazing guys, good job. According to MTV, Green Day is currently winning the Viewer's Choice VMA with over 40% of the votes. The VMA's will air in 4 days, August 28th, at 8PM EST.

On a side note, Mike Dirnt has recorded the bass for a new EP, "The Smoking Gun EP", by Sabrina Stewart. She's a singer/songwriter from San Francisco.

GreenDay.net has posted good news finally about "Live Freaky Die Freaky". A company has acquired all North American rights to the video. Starting in 2006 they will have nationwide midnight screenings of the film, immediately followed by the sale of the "Live Freaky Die Freaky" DVD and Soundtrack. The soundtrack includes original songs preformed by Billie Joe. More Info
