Update, May 26:
Two members of Green Day will prepare a massive fish filet with Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto, according to an update on the BottleRock Napa Valley website.
The festival schedule says Tré Cool and Mike Dirnt will "create an array of delicious courses using a massive whole fish." The presentation begins 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Williams-Sonoma Culinary Stage. It'll last about 45 minutes.
Original, May 12:
Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool will serve up culinary-fused antics at BottleRock Napa Valley later this month.
The three-day music festival in downtown Napa, California, fuses music, food, wine and beer.
This year's sold-out event is May 27-29.
Star chefs — including Gordon Ramsay, Tyler Florence and Masaharu Morimoto — will appear on the culinary stage for presentations alongside popular musicians, entertainers, athletes and other celebrities. The festival website doesn't say specifically who Mike and Tré will work with or what they're cooking up.
Although many bands and musicians will be performing, the list doesn't include Mike, Tré or Green Day. Go to www.bottlerocknapavalley.com for complete lineups, performer biographies and more information.
