[img=053112_bluegrass.jpg] It looks like this product came out 2 years ago, but somehow we missed it. I was browsing around Spotify last weekend while working on the Top 5 Kick-Ass Green Day Songs article and found this album listed there, so I checked it out. For those unfamiliar with the first edition "Pickin on Green Day," this album is basically a country-fied version of Green Day covers.

I'll start off by saying that I know that to most fans turning Green Day songs into a bluegrass song is sacrilegious. That said, I think this is pretty cool. The covers aren't bad (as far as bluegrass music goes), and I think it's actually really interesting to hear a Green Day song in a different musical style (if for no other reason than just to appreciate the brilliance of the original). Some people will enjoy it, some won't, and the world will keep on spinning.

This album has 7 songs and it's available on Amazon and on iTunes
