Weekly Recap - Green Day kicks off US tour

It's that wonderful time where there's enough going on every day that it's possible for fans to miss some of the news that happened this week. So we're going to start writing a weekly recap right here to give you all the news you need to check out.
After several years, the band is finally back on the road. Thousands of fans packed venues Ohio, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts to welcome them back. Check out our concert review of the kick-off show in Ohio to get an idea of the setlist and what the band is bringing on tour this time around. Green Day also announced rescheduled dates for the first 3 US shows they had to postpone. Also, check out this fan-made multicam video of the first time Green Day played "Still Breathing".

MTV has released a new trailer for the upcoming film "Ordinary World" that features Billie Joe. The first trailer can be found right here.
This week Green Day will be back on late-night TV for the first time since promoting 21st Century Breakdown. They'll be on The Tonight Show on October 6th, the day before the release of "Revolution Radio". Go here to vote in our poll of what song you think they'll play.
Green Day has been nominated for both "Best Live" and "Best Rock" at the MTV EMAs. The awards will be Novemeber 6th in Rotterdamn. More info about the nomination and who they're up against can be read here.
Billie Joe has teamed up with Project Chimps to give someone a chance to win tickets to Green Day's sold out show at the Hollywood Palladium in California. More info can be found over at prizeo.com
