Revolution Radio's lead single's position at #1 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Songs chart has come to an end this week. "Bang Bang," now at #2, spent a total of four straight weeks in the top position thanks to massive airplay on Mainstream and Active Rock radio stations. Supplanting "Bang Bang" at #1 is Metallica's thrashy song "Hardwired."
In Mediabase's Active Rock chart, "Hardwired" has also swapped spots with "Bang Bang" for the #1 spot. However, on Mediabase's Alternative songs chart, the song has moved up from #4 to #3.
On other Billboard charts, here is how the song is performing week-over-week:
Rock Airplay: #2 (same as last week) | Chart
Alternative Songs: #3 (up from #4) | Chart
Hot Rock Songs: #14 (back after a week of slipping to #16) | Chart
In related news, "Still Breathing" (listen) has entered at #20 on Billboard's Twitter Top Tracks chart, which tracks "this week's most shared and/or mentioned songs on Twitter." It is still unknown at this time if the track has been/will be released as a radio single.
