During last night's performance of "Bang Bang" Green Day started chanting "No KKK, No Facsict USA, No Trump", and of course the internet noticed. Green Day was trending worldwide on both Facebook and Twitter and a flood of articles from around the world picked it up. Here's some of those:

Billboard.com - "Watch Green Day Lead 'No Trump, No KKK, No Fascist USA' Chant at 2016 AMAs"
Green Day performed their new single "Bang Bang" at the 2016 American Music Awards on Sunday (Nov. 20) night and gave the awards show its most explicitly political moment in a night full of less-than-favorable nods to president-elect Trump.

It's funny to think that Green Day -- once the symbol of snarling youthful rebellion -- are now elder statesmen in 2016. But if they're aging, they're doing it loudly: "Bang Bang" packs a punk punch, and toward the end of their performance, they debuted some vicious additional lyrics to the Revolution Radio track.

"No Trump, no KKK, no fascist USA"' frontman Billie Joe Armstrong chanted repeatedly during "Bang Bang," nodding to Trump's endorsement by the KKK and the rise in racist attacks and graffiti since the Republican's victory (not to mention the appointment of Steve Bannon, a man with a history of pandering to white supremacists, to his White House cabinet).
BBC - "Green Day lead anti-Trump comments at American Music Awards"
Green Day were perhaps the most vocal group on the night. During a pyrotechnic-filled performance, they turned their track Bang Bang into an anti-Trump song. "No Trump! No KKK! No Fascist USA!" Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong shouted to the audience.

President-elect Trump has previously declared himself a fan of the punk rock group's work, having seen their musical American Idiot and describing it as "excellent".
Rolling Stone - "Watch Green Day's Explosive 'Bang Bang' Performance at the AMAs
In the middle of the song, the band broke into "Born to Die" by Austin punk group MDC. The song has become a recent popular chant for students protesting Donald Trump's presidency, changing the final lines to "No Trump/No KKK/No fascist USA."

The Hollywood Reporter - "Green Day Blasts Donald Trump During "Bang Bang" Performance"
Green Day hit the American Music Award stage on Sunday night.

Yet again, the trio rocked the stage and brought their distinct punk rock sound and attitudes to the cheering audience. The band clearly voiced their opinion of the election results, with lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong singing and repeating, "No Trump, no KKK, no fascist USA."

That was a nod to Trump's endorsement by the KKK and the rise in racist attacks and graffiti since the Republican's victory (not to mention the appointment of Steve Bannon, a man with a history of pandering to white supremacists, to his White House cabinet).
