Green Day is finally back!
On September 10, the Hella Mega tour – featuring Green Day, Weezer and Fall Out Boy – will be announced.
A video posted on the @HellaMegaTour Instagram account features Billie Joe singing a teasing version of "Wake Me Up When September Ends" that references the date. The account is currently private, but you can check out the full video on the @GDA Twitter account!
This follows weeks of rumors and speculation that the three bands would be joining forces. Various radio station DJs across the U.S. have shared tidbits about possible new music from all three bands, as well as a tour announcement.

In addition to Instagram, Twitter and Facebook accounts (@HellaMegaTour), the website https://hellamegatour.com/ has been active for about a month. If you navigate to the site, you'll find only a sneaky GIF and a password prompt:
Last Friday, Billie Joe commented on an Instagram post from Rainn Wilson (the Office actor in the GIF), tagging both Rivers Cuomo of Weezer and Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy:
If those teases aren't enough, random fans have also received curiously-mislabeled band merch in the mail – that they didn't order:

We can't yet be sure whether or not new music from Green Day will be released with the tour announcement. There's only one way to find out — stay tuned on Tuesday!
