Billie Joe and his wife, Adrienne, have been generous supporters of Chimp Sanctuary Northwest for years. The Armstrongs donate an item every year to be put up for auction, with all proceeds going towards care costs for the chimps at the Washington sanctuary.

This year, Billie Joe has donated one of his personal guitars that he plays at home: a Gibson Billie Joe Armstrong signature ES-137, his latest signature model. The guitar is a semi-hollow body electric outfitted with P-90 pickups that produce Green Day's classic sound. When the auction is complete, Billie Joe will top it off with a personalized signature on the winning bidder's guitar.

Bidding has been open for a couple of days now, and ends in about three days (Tuesday evening). Chimp Sanctuary Northwest has set a total fundraising goal of $14,000 for all of the items being auctioned off. Check out this completely one-of-a-kind guitar and also the other items for sale!
