GDA's first Managing Editor
Apr. 18, 2012 / Comments
I'm very excited to announce a big change for us here at GDA. For the last 3 years many of you have come to know Jimmy as one of our editors and a regular on our podcast Static Noise. That's him in the right over there, apparently standing near a beach or something letting the wind pass through his lovely hair. Probably thinking about the 13 different extra-curricular activities he's involved in. So let's add one more! I'm very excited to announce Jimmy's promotion to a new position here at GDA as our first ever Managing Editor. He'll be in charge of overlooking all the news we put up here and managing the news editing team.
What does this mean for you? Better stuff! Jimmy's primary role will be to make sure all the news and editorials we're posting are of higher quality, similar format, and have more context. We want to focus on creating content fans can't get anywhere else and presenting it in an interesting and useful way. With the new albums coming we're ready to step up our game with what a fan site could be.
I'll continue posting news, but more of my focus is going to other projects to improve the site. We have some wonderful editors, and with Jimmy's help, I have no doubt we're going to do some awesome stuff. There's a lot of projects we want to do and this change will help us get there.
Thanks to all of you who continue to visit and support GDA. We're excited to see what we can do over the next year!
