Notes:
- Arica Pelino: "I took the photo on the back of the Kerplunk album. We were in Tucson at the time. GD was forced to play an acoustic set in the backyard of a college frat house, because we showed up after 10 PM and there was a noise ordinance. Our van was overheating all the way from Phoenix to Tucson. Tre was on acid and it took us three hours to him off the roof because he had met a girl up there (as one does). It was 100 degrees that night. I remember listening to Van Halen, OP IVY, The Replacements, NWA, and early Jane's Addiction. Lucky Dog loved NWA."
- Billie Joe Armstrong: "In the early days we always brought an acoustic guitar on tour with us. Our shows back then were booked in basements and veterans halls by kids who didn’t always have the proper legal permits and all that, so when a show would be shut down for exceeding noise levels, we would have an acoustic there and still be able to play. I think that’s one thing we had over other punk bands: the show was able to go on. There’s a picture of us on the back of Kerplunk in which Tré is holding an acoustic guitar. That picture was taken in Tucson, Arizona, where the show was shut down because people down the street complained about the noise."
