Tour Dates 1989 Pinole, CA
Details
Location:
Eggplant's backyard in Pinole, CA
Date:
May 28, 1989
Other Acts:
East Bay Mud, Isocracy, Crimpshrine, Operation Ivy
Notes:
- Paul Curran: "There were some personal issues between Jeff [Ott] and Aaron [Cometbus] and then there was an incident where Jeff took some money that belonged to the band, and that was the end of their friendship and the end of Crimpshrine. Jeff decided to play a final Crimpshrine show with his friend [Mark Moreno] playing drums, which, [because the band had been a collaboration with Aaron] was a fucked up thing to do."
- ISOCRACY: "I was at the private show in Pinole at Eggplant's house. It was Op Ivy's last show and Green Day's first show. I walked up to Mike after they were done and said they sounded a lot like Husker Du (being originally from MN, this is a HUGE compliment) The official last Op Ivy show (and I was fortunate to see many) was the first GD show. Just for info, East Bay Mud, Isocracy, and the band I was familiar with - Crimpshrine - also played that day. I joined the military to get to Northern CA because that was were the music was."
