[pic=Demolicious]041814_032014_demolicious.jpg[/pic]Billboard has released a recap of Record Store Day 2014, reporting on various sales metrics and the popularity of vinyl.
According to Nielsen SoundScan numbers in Billboard's report, Demolicious sold nearly 4,000 copies, making it the highest selling album of the day (when combining CD, cassette, and vinyl sales). The CD and vinyl varieties accounted for 42% of sales each with cassette accounting for the remaining 16%.
Billboard also notes that the album will be released digitally on May 19th while a physical release remains exclusive to Record Store Day "for the time being."
I think it's safe to assume "digital release" would involve iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, Spotify, Rdio, and other popular digital retailers/streaming services.
