Phil was tracked down after the release of Foreverly to hear his thoughts on the album, which are very positive.
Phil even shared his thoughts on the Green Day track "Wake Me Up When September Ends," stating that he wanted to record it himself as a "thank you."

Well, the two pieces that I have heard are just really, really sensational, really good. I heard “That Silver Haired Daddy of Mine” the other day, and they did it a little faster, and it’s really quite interesting. It’s one of my favorite songs, anyway, but it was always hard for me. And it’s a real hard song to sing—it just brings up that…that emotional feeling. But Billie Joe and Norah do a great job with it.
