+ Hey all. Tre updated his audio message today at Greenday.com. Beware: If your parents don't like you listening to people curse online, don't listen to this when they are in the room. Speaking of Tre, I got some e-mails about the picture of him and his wife being an "x". That link has been fixed (it was in the Picture Vault). Thank you to the people that e-mailed me. The Fan List has finally been updated. Also you may have noticed a little change in the GDA Team. Darren and Danny have both decided to leave, both wanting to spend more time on other projects. Matt (Co-Webmaster) and Ralph (GDA Tabber) have joined the team, and I might be looking into one more person. Matt will be taking over Band of the Month, which has been updated for October. Speaking of October, GDA won the XFS Challenge of the Month. Sorry you guys didn't get to vote, it started early and I didn't know about it! We did beat Green Day Archive UK by a few votes though. + Greenday.com got a new message board. Sorry guys, but it sucks. GDA's is better, and it was free! Anyway. Green Day apparently painted a mask which is up for auction on eBay. I bid on it a few days ago, when it was only $102.50, but I was outbid. The proceeds benefit The Hospice of Michigan. And Yahoo is going to put some Green Day tracks on the web for sale. Yah hoo. GDA's got 2 new members of the team, Matt and Ralph. We may have one more coming, but I'm not sure yet. +
+ Hey. I added that Green Day Rare Items page so send in your stuff. I also changed the Greeting Cards Service a bit....God knows that was up for an update. Also if you bookmark GDA now, you will see a little icon in your Favorites folder. That's cool. I also added a new affiliate, The Insomniac Club, so he can stop bitching at me. + Billie Joe left an audio message at Greenday.com letting us know that Mike is recovering from wrist surgery due to Carpell Tunnel Syndrome. Billie reports that Mike is going to be fine. Thanks to Lloyd of Green Day Fansite, I've learned that Interpunk released some new Green Day t-shirts, including the one I was looking for (right) from the Pop Disaster Tour! The I (Heart) GD one is also from the Pop Disaster Tour, but 2 of the others are brand new (the longsleeve black guitar shirt and the one that looks like the entrance to Greenday.com). So save up your money and buy some of these awesome shirts! +

+ No updates, but I do have some new releases for you from Green Day. First is a new import called Take 2, which can be found at CDNow for the expensive price of $27.99. The other is a brand new DVD/VHS video, and that is going to be released November 19, 2002 and is called Pogo Paradise. Here is the information on the new video from Interpunk:
"Breaking out of san francisco's punk scene in 1993, Green Day have gone on to become major players and world-wide superstars while achieving critical acclaim and being hailed as influence and inspiration by numerous imitators. For the first time, Pogo Paradise goes behind the music by using interviews with the band and those who have known them along the way. Blending previously unseen footage, this documentary presents an overview and investigation into the roots of this extraordinary band."

+ Alright Green Day obcessed people. I updated bigtime. First, let me mention that I put the Pop Disaster Font on the Fonts page. Thanks to Green Day Fans for that font! Also, some people have been e-mailing me asking too put the Ballad of Willhelm Fink as the mp3 of the week. Well you got it, download the mp3 on the Multimedia page. Other pages that have been updated: Links, Collector's Corner, Fan Fiction, and The Fan List. Thanks for all the responses on the co-webmaster thing. I have some people I'm looking into. + It's hard for me to believe that one year ago today, I was putting up President Bush's words about the terrorist attacks on my country. It seems like just yesterday. But I'm sure you heard enough about the attacks all day, but I need to say something as well. Please just take a moment of silence today for the innocent victims killed in the attacks. Even if you don't live in the USA, or you do and you hate our government (yes I hear people say it), remember those were killed were people who didn't deserve to die, or they were too young to die. +
+ Anyway, yes yes I know. Most of you are asking, "Courtney......when the hell are you going to update GDA with my stuff!" Well....soon. Right now, I haven't had much time to do it. Plus I stare at a computer screen all day at work. So this got me to thinking of what the hell am I gonna do when I'm going to work during the day and go to school at night. Here's the answer: I need another co-webmaster. Danny and Darren are both busy with their websites (Danny : All Hallows Darren : Green Day Fans). So, if you think you want to be a GDA Co-Webmaster, please e-mail me, or better yet, contact me with one of my messengers (listed on the right side of this page). Before you talk to me, make sure you meet all my requirements:
1. Must have good knowledge of HTML (an example of your work would be great). Please be willing to download Sausage Hotdog Professional 6.5 and also an FTP program.
2. Be willing to answer e-mails/messages from visitors and update pages on a regular basis.
3. Be willing to deal with Courtney because she's a royal pain in the ass.
4. Have at least a half an hour of spare time every night or every other night.

+ Sorry I haven't been around much guys, but I just started a new job and I've been busy with other things. BeatGreets.com finally has some musical greeting cards with Green Day. They are "Desensitized" and "Time of Your Life". Click here to send one. Thanks to Mike from my hometown state of Pennsylvania for sending me that information a few days ago. It kinda disturbs me and disgusts me that Billie Joe's good name has been mentioned with the likes of Kirk Hammett of Metallica, but....it has. Both were injured in surfing accidents and both were mentioned in the same article at Billboard. +

I want some Collector's Corner success stories, so if you have anything you'd like to add, please e-mail me. Pictures from MTV's Diary were added to the Picture Vault, but you can view them here. Those pictures are from our link, Green Day IT. I'm working on these new ideas for pages, if you have any input/ideas for other pages, please e-mail me or join in on the discussion in the GDA Message Forum :
Green Day Covers : If anyone has a band and does a Green Day song/songs, they can send in a mp3 or wav and I could put up a clip of it, along with some info on their band.
Green Day Look Alikes : If anyone looks like Billie Joe, Mike, Tre, or even their wives, they could send in their picture and info.
Rare Green Day Items : This page could feature any special items (ex; Green Day Bobbleheads) they could send in a picture and it could be posted along with their info. It's sorta like a "show off" page so to speak, and also people could get an idea of what's out there.

+ Billie Joe was injured on Friday, August 24 after having cut his head on a surfboard while on vaction at Newport Beach with his family. No need to worry though, sources say that he is fine. Read the newspaper article here. Sorry for lack of updates, but there really isn't that much Green Day news, plus I've been busy. Pages that were updated are Links, Quotes, Fan Art, Green Day Dolls, and Didja Know?. The Fan List and Collector's Corner should be updated tomorrow along with some other pages.
