I was driving to my job interview this morning, and I was listening to Y100 Radio Station. I didn't catch all they were saying, but I guess they had sort of a contest between blink 182 and Green Day. Well they were interviewing Tre and they said that blink 182 comes in second so they get a porn video. Then they go Tre since you guys came in first you get a bobbing head doll. Tre was mad because he wanted the porn. Does anyone know what the deal was with this? Also I would like reviews from May 28th show, since I could have went and choose Hershey, PA instead. + Hey all! I just got back from the HERSHEY, PA CONCERT! Fucken awesome. Just fucking awesome. To the left is a picture of me and how I look right now. That sweatshirt makes me look fat because it's so big. Oh well I just got it. Fucken awesome. That sums it up. I was right up front. Saves the Day sucked, the lead singer looks like David Spade. I don't think they are great. When they were changing
sets I heard some guy go ohhh Green Day's next now we have to listen to their songs I want BLINK and I was like YO fucken if it wasn't for Green Day fucken blink wouldn't be here. Anyway. Green Day came on and I was blown away. This year the concert was sooooo much better than the one I went to last year. Billie Joe was masterbating on stage and everything! I love how Billie gets the crowd to interact with everyone. After Green Day's show, we left the pit to sit in the bleachers, but we weren't paying attention to blink anyway. We sat there and talked about Green Day. I was like WTF is he saying and my friends are like WHO CARES. It was their first Green Day concert and they were amazed at how great they are. We didn't even stick around to see Travis's drum trick, we left like right in the middle of their set. Then I bought over 100 bucks worth of merchandise....which I'm going to take pix of to show people on here so look for them in a few days. THEN on the way out I was screaming GREEN DAY FUCKEN RULES and BLINK 18 WHO GREEN DAY KICKED YOUR ASS to everyone. I also have GREEN DAY plastered on my forehead (that's what the smudge is on my forehead in the pic) and GREEN DAY FUCKEN RULES on both my arms with black magic marker. I'm gonna write up a complete review and put it in the concert reviews section later. BTW, my camera got taken from me, but my friend got hers in and I might get a set from her. IF ANYONE ELSE HAS ANY PICTURES FROM HERSHEY, PLEASE e-mail me. Oh and ya know what I thought was funny? People were there wearing Abercrombie & Fitch shirts. You can view that on GDA here. Also Rock Zone posted some pictures from the May 11th Pop Disaster Show in Spring, Texas, which includes the one to your right. By the looks of it, Green Day's b-sides and rarities album is confirmed to be released in mid-July, and also to be named "Shenanigans". Read an article about it at Undercover Media. Word is out that the new b-side album will be releasd in mid-July (just in the time for my birthday), and is tentatively named "Shenanigans". As far as I know though, this is not official. + Hey everyone. Over the last few days, I received an unusual amount of 'fanmail' for this site, and I thank you all for it. + I actually got some work done today! Woo hoo! Here's a review from the May 1st concert in Tacoma: 'Green Day Outshines blink-182 in Tacoma Dome Concert'. There's also a review from Salt Lake City's concert: 'Pop Disaster is Raging Success'. Speaking of the tour, I updated the tour page because it had some errors and it was missing some information. I hear there is going to be an article about Green Day in the next issue of Kerrang Magazine, due out Wednesday, May 8th. So all you UKers can pick up that. There's a new feature to GDA called the Mp3 of the Week. It will be available in the Mulitmedia section. This week the mp3 is Desensitized. I also did a little work on the Lyrics & Discography page...just added some albums, lyrics, and information. I also added a new section to that; B-sides and Rarities. + Ahhh man it's sooo nice to have off on a Friday. I'm lovin' it. I have to bartend tonight at a local concert for the ambulance company I'm in, so I have to do everything now. What does this mean? It means the GDA Contest is over ya nimrod! I went through all the entries and deleted the blank/duplicate ones and have determined that we had 55 entries altogether. Woo hoo! Green Day's Mike Dirnt and Billie Joe Armstrong tell LAUNCH. "In Oakland of all places, I mean, they have an incredible trauma unit and all that stuff. It's a great hospital. I've been in and out of there a couple times with my kiddo, you know? It's just a great charity. I mean, hey, it's a hospital, how bad can it be?," Dirnt says.
Armstrong adds, "Plus, you know, Tre (Cool)'s been in and out of Children's Hospital his entire life, either breaking something or in the psych ward. And then my kids and his kids and Mike's kids will probably do the same thing."
Armstrong continues, "We've been dicked over on some charities but this organization is solid and everyone's money [from] tickets is going directly to Children's Hospital."
